Went to the LA County Arboretum for the first time yesterday since the wind storm, it was still beautiful, there were places I had never seen before, I guess it had been just that overgrown. There were alot of trees that had been cut down to the bottom, it was heartbreaking I suppose, but only a few were actually rooted up so I know that they will shoot soon.
The Canada Geese were there, they make so much noise, they have no trouble just coming right up to you either. :)
The Queen Ann Cottage was having it's roof redone, the waterfall when you first go in was off and drained, all the pathways were cleared and walkable. It was a beautiful sunny day - this is why I live in Southern California.
The Squirrels there will come right up to you wanting you to feed them, your not suppose to so I did not but they will just run right up to you, the ones here don't do that and I have known them since they were babies and these total strangers just come right up and say hi. ????
I can't wait for the trees to start to reshoot again.
They said they are going to do some new things there, looking real forward to that.
It was a bit dissapointing that so much was closed down for repairs but it was still a wonderful day. :)
